If you want to keep snacks on hand, and you should, then have healthy alternatives such as fresh fruit, yogurt, carrot sticks whole wheat crackers and things like that. If you can't exist without sweets, then try something like keeping a few mini chocolate chips around. If you eat say just a few of these chips here and there, then it won't really affect your diet negatively and you will be able to satisfy your sugar craving.
